Several years ago, during the course of a very intense three day initiation process, I undertook a guided meditation to discover my life's mission, my spirit name and the totem animal who personified my mission. Late on the second day I was guided into a deep trance state and I found myself on an astral journey, cruising over the sandy bottom of a crystal clear ocean. As I swam along I was first reminded of the many Lemon Sharks I'd seen cruising the shallow waters south of the island we now call "home". However, I kept hearing and seeing the word "greyshark".
A few years after that initiation an Abanaki Elder told me about a vision in which she'd seen my totem animal to be a vulture. We both realized that this was another scavenger, same mission, same energy. Scavengers remind us that suffering is usually temporary and an essential part of the process of renewal.
My mission had been confirmed once more, and I kept my GreyShark name.

It's his mission to purify the energies of the present in order to assure fertile ground for future growth. I'd spent my whole life repairing the damage wrought by others. As a young man I'd been an EMT and a firefighter. I'd been a construction contractor specializing in repairing the damage left behind by less qualified contractors. I'd even earned extra money removing viruses and malware from infected computers. Now I work as a psychic helping others heal by identifying areas of their lives needing change.
(A dear friend passed in 2004. She'd been my friend, my teacher and my second mother for over 43 years. I knew her as Gloria, but to the most she was known as the world famous "Shark Lady".. Coincidence? I doubt it.)
